This yule log is my answer to not everyone in my family enjoying Christmas cake, mince pies, Christmas pudding or other spiced festive puddings. For those who struggle with a delicious centrepiece alternative to the usual puddings served, this is a super chocolatey option, great served as it is or with a little icing sugar ‘snow’ (like the photo), ice cream, berries, whipped cream… you get the idea.

The best bit? You can pop this in the freezer and remove it 3 hours before you’re planning to eat it, so it’s a great treat to have stowed away. Serves 8, in good sized portions. For children I would cut the slices in half as it’s very rich! The filling is Belgian milk and white chocolate.

To keep the yule log from drying out once you’ve started to eat it, wrap well in between serving. Please note, the yule log has a crackled appearance on the surface. Scroll down for ingredients and allergens. Decorations and icing sugar not included!
